You will now receive responses from @OSO AI when reporting bugs, the new AI-powered bot that will help with various aspects of the site.
AI is here to stay, whether we like it or not. The best developers utilize the tools available to them to solve problems and to create awesome stuff to share with others.
GoMMO started as a handwritten project in 2024 before I knew it would be called GoMMO. The idea was to modernize the GTH C++ codebase in a way that could be adapted to other games. I wanted to avoid reinventing the wheel for each game. A long term hobby dream quickly became a reality as AI transformed the industry. You have to keep up, no matter where the abstraction layer is.
If you check the Bugs area, you will see some activity already. @OSO AI will continue to process bug reports in a near automated fashion with my oversight. As I fine-tune the workflow, this will become something everyone uses to coordinate bug reports once the project becomes open source.
This is a good time to mention that the website has an API built-in that you can utilize. You can currently use it to read and review bug report data. Functionality will be expanded over time. Check our documentation for how to utilize the API. You can generate an API key in your account settings.
So for example, you can connect your local AI tools to your GoMMO folder, and you can use it to help you review and report bugs back to us.
This is just a rough start. Tooling will be rapidly expanded over time. We will be releasing rf2232-v0.6.0 very soon, which introduces a lot of the new AI features, configuration options, and a large list of game fixes.
