Reported: On 0.3.1, after logging out and back in, a character lost its first class change. Also: the client's language does not display in many places, the chat box will not take local-language input, and some items sold by NPCs are wrong.
Found: The server saves a class change correctly, but when a character enters the world it never sent the client the record of which class changes the character had made. On every login the client was told the character had never changed class.
The text in the client's windows, such as place names, items and menus, comes from the client's own language files, not from the server. Chat text is passed through by the server unchanged. How the client displays text and which languages its chat box accepts is the client's own behaviour, which we cannot change.
Fix: World entry now sends the character's class-change history, so a class change stays in place after logging out and back in. It ships in the next RF Online 1.5 release.
Please file separately:
- The wrong NPC store items, as their own report: which NPC, which item, and what is wrong with it (price, name, a missing item or the wrong item). It needs its own investigation, so its own id is what a later change will cite.
