RF455-115 RF 4.55 v0.4.0: Jet Ski Ride Off fails after effect 83 cancellation (03/3F)
Title: RF 4.55 v0.4.0 — Jet Ski Ride Off does not perform dismount cleanup after effect 83 cancellation
Game: RF Online Dragonborn (rf455)
Component: Game server (server)
Severity: High
Related issue: RF455-091 (released in v0.4.0)
Steps to reproduce
- Equip a Jet Ski mount.
- Activate Ride Skill 83. The character mounts successfully.
- Press the Ride Skill again.
- The client sends packet
03/3Fto cancel the active riding effect.
Actual result
The server removes effect ID 83 but does not execute the complete dismount transition. The character can remain visually mounted or retain an incorrect movement state.
Unequipping the Jet Ski performs native dismount cleanup and restores the normal appearance.
Expected result
When effect ID 83 is removed while the player is riding, the server should:
- Execute the native dismount transition.
- Restore ordinary movement mode and recompute movement speed.
- Keep the Jet Ski equipped so it can be mounted again.
- Preserve normal effect refresh and state notifications.
- Avoid triggering dismount when unrelated buffs are cancelled.
The condition must use the removed effect ID, not the buff-list slot.
Technical evidence
An isolated experimental POC successfully invoked native dismounted() after buff cancellation. Three visual Ride Off transitions worked and remounting was possible without unequipping.
However, the POC is not production-ready: movement mode remained 4, unrelated buff cancellations could cause dismount, and the original refreshEffectState() behavior was replaced.
No production files or processes were modified during this experiment.
Request: Please provide a v0.4.0-compatible server hotfix that performs complete mount-state cleanup when effect 83 is cancelled, without disrupting other buff removal behavior.
