RF455-129 FireGuard Authentication Fails After Game Restart Due to Duplicate Authentication State

Game server RF Online: Dragonborn v0.5.0 low · filed by BlaBlaName
Fixed

When restarting the game without fully closing and relaunching the game client, regular player accounts cannot complete FireGuard authentication.

When attempting to authenticate again, the system responds that the credentials or data have already been verified, preventing the player from proceeding with authentication.

Actual Behavior: The game is restarted while the client remains running. A regular player account attempts to authenticate through FireGuard again. FireGuard responds that the data has already been verified. The player cannot complete authentication and log in.

Expected Behavior: FireGuard should correctly reset or refresh the authentication state when the game restarts. Regular player accounts should be able to authenticate successfully again without requiring a complete restart of the game client.

Found: After a restart back to character select without closing the game, the server still remembered the FireGuard password as entered, so when the game asked again it refused the correct password as "already verified".

Fix: Returning to character select now resets FireGuard, so the game asks once and accepts the correct password; the correct password entered again is also accepted. This is in the next RF Online 4.55 update.

To verify: Log in, enter the FireGuard password, use the in-game restart to go back to character select, and enter the password again when asked: it should be accepted.
