RF455-132 %pass quest Command Does Not Grant Follow-Up Quests

Game server RF Online: Dragonborn v0.5.0 low · filed by BlaBlaName
Fixed

When using the %pass quest command to automatically complete a quest, the character correctly receives the quest rewards, including items, race-specific currency, experience, and other applicable rewards.

However, if completing the quest should unlock or grant the next quest in the quest chain, the follow-up quest is not granted.

Actual Behavior:

  • The current quest is successfully completed.
  • Quest rewards, such as items, race-specific currency, and experience, are correctly granted.
  • The next quest is not granted, even when it should become available upon completion of the current quest.

Expected Behavior: The %pass quest command should correctly process all quest completion logic, including granting rewards and unlocking or assigning the next quest when required by the quest chain.

Found: %pass quest paid the rewards through its own shortcut, which skipped the step that hands over the next quest in the chain.

Fix: %pass quest now finishes a quest the same way a normal completion does, so the follow-up quest is granted straight away. This is in the next RF Online 4.55 update.

To verify: Use %pass quest on a quest that leads into another, such as a class starter quest: the rewards arrive and the next quest appears in the quest log.
