RF Online: Golden Age v0.4.2

The Bank, MAUs, Forces And Real Damage

Released 2026-08-22

Every race gets its own bank, a MAU you call out actually appears, monsters hit for the figures their own tables carry, and forces cast the force you picked.

Features

  • The banker will build you a bank. It costs 100,000 dalant, each race buys its own, and it opens the moment you pay for it with twenty slots in it.
  • Your bank holds items and money. Storing something costs nothing, taking it back out costs a fee, and dalant and gold can sit in there too.
  • Each race gets its own bank. Every character of that race opens the same one and sees the same items, money, slots and password, and another race on the same account has none of it.
  • The bank gets bigger. Another twenty slots costs 500,000 dalant, up to a hundred, and the slots you buy stay with the race that paid for them.
  • A password locks the bank. You choose one when you create it and you can change it later, and answering your hint question issues you a fresh one if you forget it.
  • Deleting your characters to play a different race no longer costs you your bank. The new race starts with none and buys its own, and coming back to the old race finds everything exactly where you left it.
  • Every player can use the test commands, with no staff account needed. Levels and skills: %lv, %allskills, %heal, %pass quest.
  • Money and items are open too. %money, %gold, %goldpoint, and %* to spawn an item.
  • %money and %gold set a balance rather than adding to it. Running %money 500 twice leaves you holding 500, while %goldpoint adjusts, so a negative number takes points away.
  • Commands start with a percent sign. A slash is the whisper prefix, so /lv 50 sends a private message to a player called lv.
  • So are travel and survival. %town, %port, %hq, %jump, %matchless, %neverdie.
  • And the readouts. %xyz, %total, %circle and %help.
  • %hq takes you to a race’s headquarters. Give it 0 for Bellato, 1 for Cora or 2 for Accretia, the same argument %port takes.
  • %allskills hands you every force your race can learn. It maxes every mastery line at the same time, and the forces appear once you log back in.
  • Nothing that reaches another player was opened. %race boss and %credits still need a staff account, whatever else is set.
  • Type %help to see what you can run. The list shows only your own commands.
  • Server owners choose who gets what. The control panel has a GM Commands section with a switch that turns the whole player set off for a public server.
  • Any single command can be moved. The same section takes a list that puts a named command at any level from 0 (everyone) to 4 (super administrator).
  • Shields block. Equip one and hits get turned aside, more often as your shield mastery climbs, and a blocked hit does nothing at all.
  • Shield mastery finally goes up. It counts the hits you block, so it only moves while you are actually holding a shield.
  • Six shield skills raise your block chance. Defend, Buildup Defense, Trust, Hypnotic Power, Mega Shield and Elemental Barrier each add ten points to it while they are running.
  • Stealth mantles work. Wearing one makes you stealthed, and taking it off stops it.
  • Shops run out of limited goods. The stores that only hold a few of something now sell those few, refuse the next buyer, and show the count going down while you shop.
  • Sold-out goods come back. Each store restocks its limited items on its own timer.
  • Firecrackers work. Set one off and the people around you see it go up.
  • Satellites work. Use one and it marks the characters near you for as long as it runs.
  • Sacrifice trades health for force points. It takes sixty health and gives back a share of your maximum force.
  • Fast Recall does what it says. Cast it and your animus can be summoned again straight away, with no wait and no cost.
  • Quests pay contribution points. Every starter quest carries them.

Improvements

  • Command levels have a Reset button. It appears once you have set something, asks before it does anything, and puts every command back to its default.
  • %allskills replaces %allskill and %allstats. It takes no argument and does the work of both, so the two older names are gone.
  • %full force and %fullmiracle are gone. %allskills grants the forces and %heal refills your bars.
  • %neverdie and %matchless switch off again. Typing the word a second time ends it and the reply says which way it went, so %no neverdie and %no matchless are gone.
  • %port goes to a race’s Ether landing port. That is the dock on that race’s home map where the transport ship arrives.
  • Accretia is told plainly that it has no forces. %allskills grants none to an Accretian instead of quietly handing over four nobody can cast.
  • Opening the test commands to everyone also skips the FireGuard PIN prompt. The control panel says so now, and turning the setting off brings the prompt back at the next login.
  • Only Bellato can buy, tune, repair, arm or call out a MAU. The other two races get a refusal that says so.
  • A MAU part is checked against your mainframe. One that does not fit is refused instead of being accepted and doing nothing.
  • The shop window updates as you buy. Buying the last of a limited item shows it hitting zero without reopening the store.
  • Mastery only counts a fair fight. Monsters far below your level no longer train anything.
  • A cloak checks who is wearing it. One meant for another race, or for a level above yours, is now refused the way every other piece of equipment already was.
  • So does a ring or an amulet. One meant for another race, or for a level above yours, is refused instead of going on and doing nothing.
  • Blocking no longer depends on who is hitting you. Your chance comes from your shield mastery alone, so it holds steady instead of swinging between never and every other swing.
  • A force cast tells you when you cannot afford it. Being short of force points gets a refusal instead of a cast that does nothing.
  • Crafting trains its proficiency by more as you level. The award was the same at level 1 as it was at level 99.

Fixes

  • Monsters barely scratched you. A monster now hits for the figure its own table carries, so a level 35 monster takes around 300 off an armoured character of the same level where it used to take 30.
  • A monster’s swing never came out as a critical hit. Criticals land now, some monsters roll them far more often than others, and one lands above the top of that monster’s normal range.
  • Your chest piece was never the part that got hit. All five armour pieces are in the draw now, so the damage varies more from one swing to the next.
  • An empty armour slot protected you as well as armour did. Bare skin takes the full hit, and a level 35 character wearing nothing dies in two swings.
  • Mastery crawled as you levelled. Weapon, defence, shield, skill and force lines train faster the higher your level, up to nearly nine times faster at 65.
  • A skill or a force trained one point per cast at any level. A cast is worth five points at level 1 and thirty-five at 65.
  • A buff that speeds up recovery did nothing for stamina. Trust and Shield Battery restore stamina faster, the way they already restored health and force points.
  • Limited shop goods were unbuyable. The items a store only stocks a few of could not be purchased at all; they now resolve, price and sell correctly.
  • Casting a force applied a different force. Buffs, debuffs and force attacks now use the one you picked, and the experience goes to it as well.
  • Force proficiency reset when you logged back in. Your progress on each force is where you left it.
  • Buffs came out at the wrong strength. A buff’s level follows how much you have used that force.
  • Weakness and the other monster debuffs did nothing. They land, show under the monster’s name and wear off on the monster’s own timer.
  • Your animus could not be summoned after a relog. It summons.
  • Your animus was left behind when you changed map. It comes home as you leave, and summoning it on the far side is instant and free.
  • Your animus stayed drawn beside you after it had gone home. It now disappears from your own screen as you leave, the way it already did from everyone else’s.
  • Healing from an Inanna barely trained Summon. The bar moves by roughly what was healed.
  • An empty arrow stack sat in the ammunition slot showing zero. It leaves the slot when the last round goes.
  • A siege kit was never used up by skill attacks, and an empty one sat in your bag showing zero. Skills wear it down now, and it leaves the bag with the last charge.
  • Everything you crafted arrived as a single item. Arrows come out of the tool a hundred at a time, and a crafted helmet carries its real durability.
  • The sell window and the money you received disagreed. You are paid the price the shop shows you.
  • A gold shop offered only one of its goods. Every store lists everything it stocks, the Golden Wind Staff included.
  • Stores bought items they are not meant to buy and paid nothing for them. Those sales are refused.
  • A second potion buff ran alongside the first. Drinking one replaces the one already running.
  • Most of what your gear does was being thrown away. Armour, shields and weapons now apply every effect their own tables carry instead of the handful the server recognised.
  • A cloak applied nothing at all. Every cloak now grants what its table lists, and its resistances count toward your defence.
  • Rings and amulets applied nothing at all. Every ring and amulet now grants what its table lists, and its resistances count toward your defence.
  • A stealth mantle worn when you logged in did nothing until you took it off and put it back on. Equipment you are already wearing applies its effects the moment you enter the world.
  • Stealth came off at the first thing you did after equipping the mantle. It holds through changing stance, switching between walking and running, and going through a portal.
  • Ammunition bought from the cash shop arrived as a single round. A cash item that does not stack now arrives at the size its own table carries, so an arrow bundle comes as its full count and a battery comes charged.
  • The booster played its animation and changed nothing. A cloak with a booster speed makes you faster.
  • There was no way out of booster mode. Switching to walk or run ends it.
  • A MAU you called out never appeared. The frame stands where you asked for it, in view of you and of everyone around you.
  • A MAU key stayed stuck once it had been used. Sending the frame home frees the key, so you can call the same MAU out again.
  • Climbing out of a MAU left nothing standing. The frame waits where you dismounted until you board it again or send it home.
  • Every MAU refusal claimed that other races cannot use one. Each refusal says what is actually wrong.
  • %port left the old map’s lighting and a stopped clock on screen after moving you. The destination map’s own arrive as you land, and %hq does the same.
  • Only sit and stand did anything. Every character action plays.
  • Character select showed you undressed. The armour and weapon you are wearing show on the model.
  • “You have not logged in for 30 days” appeared on every login. It appears only when it is true.
  • The stones for the Volcanic Cauldron and Beast Mountain portals were never spent. Both trips take their stone and are refused without it.
  • The Volcanic Cauldron let you in under level 40 from the Beast Mountain side. Both approaches hold you to the same level.
  • Guard towers could be built inside a base. They are refused there.
  • A guard tower disappeared when you walked away, changed map or logged back in. It stays where you built it.
  • Taking a guard tower back, or logging out with one standing, destroyed the item. It returns to your bag.
  • The world held a hundred pieces of ore. The deposit is its real size, so one ore barely moves the gauge.
  • The control panel works on a fresh install. Starting the web server before the game server no longer left registration, login, the leaderboard and the character list all reporting the database as unavailable.
  • The web server finds your client folder. Starting it from anywhere other than the folder its settings file sits in no longer disabled the client downloads.

Known Issues

  • Limited-stock counts reset when the server restarts.
  • A monster several levels below you does 1 damage against armour of your own level.
  • Your animus takes far less damage from a monster than you do.
  • Damage between players in siege mode is lower than it should be.
  • The white bar under your health does not move when you are hit.
  • Guard towers stand and hold a hull, and do not attack anything.
  • An item cannot go from the bank straight into an equipment slot; move it to your bag and equip it from there.
  • The extra forty-slot block that sits on top of a full bank cannot be bought.
  • Your bank closes when you walk away from the banker and asks for the password again next time.
  • The Shining Lucky Gem combination still refuses its materials.
  • A debuff on a monster lasts about six seconds, however long the force itself says it should run.
  • Selling a wearable item pays about ten percent less than it used to, which is the figure the sell window was already showing.
  • Some items cannot be sold at all any more.
  • The mine deposit gauge starts at seventy percent.
  • A crafted upper, lower, gauntlet, shoe or shield shows a durability of zero, which is the figure its own table carries.
  • A guard tower is refused anywhere on your own race’s home map, which is wider than it should be.
  • Movement speed granted by a piece of equipment is counted but does not make you move any faster.
  • Monsters still come after you while a stealth mantle is on, even though other players see you stealthed.
  • A player who only comes into view after you turned stealth on sees you as normal, and dying, reviving or joining a party drops it until your next move.
  • A MAU’s booster gauge does not move while you ride, so running the booster costs you nothing and refilling it shows nothing.
  • Other players still see an ordinary character rather than a machine while you ride a MAU.
  • A MAU you call out is invisible until you board it, and invisible again once you climb out.
  • You can still open a parked MAU’s menu by hovering where it stands, so it is there even when you cannot see it.
  • You cannot move after climbing out of a MAU until you send it back to storage.
  • A MAU reports the wrong magazine contents after you tune ammunition onto it.
  • An item spawned with %* arrives one unit at a time, so a spawned arrow stack holds a single round.
  • %town recalls you to your own race’s town wherever you are standing.
  • %jump to another map leaves the old map’s sky and a stopped clock on screen until you enter a map properly.
