RF Online: Golden Age v0.5.3

Charms That Count, And Towers That Hold Their Ground

Released 2026-09-05

The jades and charms in your bag start working, race guard towers stand in the settlements, and cure potions pour.

Features

  • RF2232-468: The charms and jades you carry now do something. A Separation Jade lets you wear gear above your level, a Sprint Charm raises your run speed, and the experience, looting, shop price and mining charms all apply.
  • RF2232-467: Race guard towers stand in the settlement maps. All 134 of them come up the moment the server does, and they shoot at the races they were placed to shoot at.
  • RF2232-461: A server owner decides whether monsters far below your level still pay. The original rule is on by default, and a setting in the control panel lifts it for a fast levelling server.

Improvements

  • RF2232-465: The town notice keeps up with you. It changes as you walk across the boundary instead of only when you change maps, and trap placement, tower building and the PvP rules all read the map’s own town shape now.
  • The server log now says why it refused something. Ninety-one refusals that used to send a bare error code record the reason, so a report can be answered from the log.
  • An art pack built from a client in any language produces item names. Only an English client worked before.

Fixes

  • RF2232-459: An item shortcut on the hotbar came back pointing at a different item after every login.
  • RF2232-460: Every cure potion was refused with “unknown error : 48”. They cure now, and one that finds nothing to cure is not consumed.
  • RF2232-461: Monsters far below your level paid full experience. They pay nothing by default now, so anyone farming a starter field a long way beneath them stops earning from it.
  • RF2232-464: Casting a skill or a force inside a safe zone trained proficiency. So did swinging a weapon.
  • RF2232-466: The minimap named the wrong area. It froze on whichever area came first on the map, so most of the world read as Bellato HQ.
  • RF2232-463: A GM item code typed with no space after the command answered “ERROR (command)”.
  • Race guard towers reached too far. They were killing monsters at spawns the original’s towers cannot reach from the same emplacement.
  • RF2232-469: A launcher with no configuration of its own connected to our server instead of yours. A self-hosted server could be running while its players were somewhere else entirely.
