Old School Ops
RF Online: Golden Age v0.7.0

Combat Formulas, Level Limits, Set Bonuses, Race Punishment Votes

Released 6 October 2026

Original combat formulas, per-character level limits, set item bonuses and race leader punishment votes.

Features

  • Level limits. Every character starts with a level limit of 50 that level-limit quests raise to 56 and then 66, and experience, potions and death loss all stop at it.
  • Quest reward choice. A quest that offers several rewards lets you pick the one you want.
  • Race punishment votes. The race leader can propose a chat ban or a bounty on a player, the race votes, and a passed sanction lasts three days.
  • MAU workshop. Tuning a MAU part costs its listed price and needs the part's level and mastery, bullet fill checks that the magazine fits the weapon, and pack fill works.
  • Custom map placements. Spawns, NPCs, portals and the rest of a map's placements load from per-map files, and an operator's edits under custom/ survive an upgrade.
  • Lighter load from scripted clients. A client that declares itself scripted receives other players' movement less often, controlled by THIN_SCRIPTED_MOVEMENT and on by default.
  • Control panel live map. The live map has a searchable player list, jumps to a player you pick, and zooms and pans for busy servers.

Improvements

  • Combat formulas. Player, MAU and animus hits follow the original attack, defence, critical hit, element and PvP shield rules, so a same-level monster takes many more swings to kill.
  • Town SP drain. A character moving outside their own race's town drains SP, as in the original.
  • Reward potions. PT, drop and mining potions change what you receive.
  • MAU purchases. MAU purchases are taxed, refused aboard the ship, and refund spares you drop.

Fixes

  • RF2232-487: Set bonuses. No set bonus ever switched on; a set now applies its effects tier by tier as you wear more of its pieces.
  • Recall destination. After a recall, your next login put you back on the map you had left.
  • Dungeon exit and ship removal. Leaving a dungeon by warp or being removed from the transport ship moved you without your screen following.
  • Animus range. A ranged animus walked into melee range before attacking, and now stops at its attack distance.
  • Town teleport items. An item whose destination did not exist sent you home, and is now refused and kept, and the Medicallab portals lead where they should.
  • Ammunition stacks. A dungeon reward of ammunition gave a single round instead of a full stack.
