The Tools panel gathers the tools that work on many objects, or on more than one map.

Find on every map

Find on every map searches every map of the client, and its server when linked, for a monster, NPC or prop by name or code. Each map holding a match is listed with how many; click one to open it with the matches selected. The open map is saved first.

Prop brush

Prop brush (P) paints props onto the ground.

  1. Add one or more models with Add model…, or select props on the map and choose Use selected.
  2. Drag across the map. Each dab plants a few props, picking among your models at random, never closer together than Least gap between props, each turned and sized at random within the limits you set.

Switch to Erase to remove props of the brush's models under the brush, or any prop when the brush has no models. Lean to the slope tilts each prop with the ground under it (RF Online props turn to face along the slope, since the game stores no forward tilt), and Sink into the ground buries each one a random amount. Every stroke is one step to undo.

Prefabs

Prefabs keep a selection to place again on any map of the same game: a camp with its guards, a gate, a fence.

  • Select the objects, type a name and choose Save.
  • Click a prefab's name, then the map, to place it. Shift + click places several.

Prefabs are files in Documents\GoMMO Studio\Prefabs\<game>\, so you can share them.

Measure

Measure (M) shows the distance between two points you click: across the ground, up, and in all, with metres for games whose scale is known.

Saved views

Saved views remember where the camera is. Ctrl + 1 to Ctrl + 9 save the view into a slot and 1 to 9 fly back to it; the list here names them and saves more.

Export

Export saves:

  • the map's spawn table as a spreadsheet, one row per spawn with its monster, count, position and group;
  • a table per monster, for a guide;
  • a picture of the whole map from above.

Exports go into the project's exports folder.

History

History at the bottom of the panel lists every step since the map was opened. Click one to undo or redo straight to it; undone steps show greyed until a new edit drops them.

Something here wrong?

Out of date, incomplete, or assuming something it should not. Documentation errors are bugs, and this one arrives tagged and pointed at this page.
