Old School Ops

RF Online

A sci-fi MMO where three races fight over one mine: Bellato mechs, Cora magic and Accretia gunmetal. Each episode is its own server and its own client.

Versions

  • RF Online 4.55
The last Taiwan build of the 4.x line: a far bigger store, eleven more maps, and item collections.
  • RF Online 4.15
Four new maps, the High Gold MAU, and a level 80 cap.
  • RF Online 2.2.3.2
Episode 2.2.3.2, the one most people mean by RF Online. Gold Points, three battle dungeons and the Bio Lab second basement, at a level 65 cap.
  • RF Online 2.1.6
Episode 2.1.6. Red Army plus the Holystone line: Blue MAU and Blue Siege Kit, Kartella Bio Lab, PvP points, and Superior armour built through Crystal Talic.
  • RF Online 2.1.5
Episode 2.1.5. Beast Mountain and Outcast Land open up, the Archon gets real power over a race, and the Red MAU and Siege Kit arrive at the level 55 cap.
  • RF Online Giga 4 Part 2
The last version of RF Online before the cash shop. Three races at war over one mine: Bellato mechs, Cora magic and Accretia gunmetal.
  • RF Online 1.5
Not an episode but a reworking: a 2011 relaunch that rebuilt the interface and added systems the other versions never had, under a version number that went down while the game went forward. It was shut down, and it is the one RF here almost nobody played. The client it speaks to is the GamesCampus 1.5b build.

RF Online

Before You Start

  • Game Clients
Which game client each RF Online server speaks to, how to identify the exact build, and how to point it at a server.
  • Choosing a Version
What each RF Online version contains - level cap, maps, race units and systems - so you can pick one before you go looking for a client.

Running RF

  • GM Commands
The in-game commands the RF versions share, which of them are open to every player, what each one does, and how an operator changes that.
  • Item Icons and Names
The website's game database draws item icons and readable names out of your own RF client. One command, run once, using the rfassets tool that ships in the 2.2.3.2 release.
  • Using Your Own Data Files
Run the server straight off the original game's own data files instead of the content we ship, so your copy stays the master copy.
