Studio works the same whether or not you sign in. Signing in with your oldschoolops.com account does one thing: it lets you send bug reports about Studio straight to us, under your name, so we can answer you and you can follow what happens to them.
Signing in
- Click Sign in at the top right of the window, or at the bottom of the start screen.
- Your browser opens oldschoolops.com. Sign in there if you are not already, and answer Yes, connect it.
- Studio shows your name where Sign in was. It remembers you on this computer until you sign out.
Studio never sees your password or your email address. Its access covers GoMMO Studio's bug reports and nothing else on the site. You can disconnect it at any time from Account, then Connected apps on oldschoolops.com, or with Sign out in the menu under your name in Studio.
Reporting a bug
Choose Help > Report a bug, or Report a bug in the menu under your name.
- Summary is one line: what went wrong.
- What happened is the detail: what you did, what you expected, and the steps to make it happen again.
- Add Studio's version, system and what is open puts the Studio version, Windows and the client and map or model you had open at the end of the report. Leave it on unless you have a reason not to.
Reports are public on oldschoolops.com, so leave out anything private. After Send, Studio shows the report's number and a link to it, and any existing reports that look like the same problem. The site tells you when it is answered or fixed.
Not signed in? The dialog offers Sign in, or a link to report it on the website instead.
Through your AI assistant
When you are signed in, an assistant connected to Studio can report bugs for you with studio_report_bug, under your account. studio_account tells it whether you are signed in and lists the Studio reports you have filed. Only you can sign in: the assistant can ask you to, but it cannot do it for you.
A report an assistant sends says so at the end, so we know how it was written. Check what it is about to send before you agree, as you would anything else it does under your name. See Working with an AI assistant.
